Rescue Me ID: 15-09-15-00049Bristol (female)
Bristol is a one year old, Catahoula/pit mix who was rescued by her foster mom as a stray. She is very well behaved and wants to please. She is incredibly smart and a fast learner. She has a ton of energy, loves all her toys, and enjoys running and playing games. She is getting better on the leash and has no issues with food aggression, sits before every meal. Her foster mom reports that she is a BIG fan of belly rubs and vanilla ice cream. We would recommend that Bristol go to a home without children. At this point, Bristol still needs some work: she will not get in a car, is still fearful of new people and needs more socialization. She also needs her last round of shots. While not currently available, if interested in helping this sweet girl by becoming her forever family, please fill out an application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-31-00123Khloe (female)
Hi! I'm Khloe! I'm a very sweet girl looking for my FUREVER home. You clicked on my picture so let me tell you more about me - I'm about 4-5 years old - I'm a Catahoula/Pit mix - I'm spayed & up-to-date on shots - I don't have a Microchip but wouldn't mind one! (Wouldn't want to get away from my AWESOME new family) - I love people! But I can get a little jealous of my fur siblings ... maybe I should hang with just people for now - I also don't mind kids but don't like being climbed on or having my ears or tail pulled.
Rescue Me ID: 15-07-12-00279Toola (female)
Toola is a BEAUTIFUL 5 year Catahoula mix. Our girl was recently in a loving home for 3 years, but due to hardship her family had to give her up. Toola is housetrained, playful, well-mannered and sweet as can be. We don't know if she has been around cats but Toola would do well with a non-dominant dog. Our girl is up to date on vaccines/spayed/micro-chip and ready to find her furever home. Toola's adoption fee is $100.00. http://2ndchance.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=7892968

Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
