Rescue Me ID: 16-02-05-00546Senzie (female)
Fall in love with Senzie! Senzie mysteriously showed up pregnant at and distrustful of people at a neighbors house. Once her pups were born and weaned, Pammy was called and took her into foster care. We believe her to be about 8 months old. She is fully housetrained and is learning to walk on a leash, play with toys and be a normal dog. She even sleeps in bed with her foster family. She gets along with all dogs, large and small. She has not had any exposure to cat testing however. Senzie takes a little warming up so we recommend no children under 12. She shows no sign of aggression, just barks a lot when she becomes nervous. She would do well as an only dog or with others. She is very sweet and snuggly and would love to have a forever home. *** Courtesy post *** ADOPTABLE 2 YR OLD Catahoula mix. She is fixed, she has her shots, she has zero diseases, she's vaccinated, and she's microchipped she is underneath the rescue CPBL EVE CLIMBS ABOVE ALL OBSTACLES BEATEN ...HIT BY 2 CARS. . ABANDONED. . 1 month she found herself trying to fend for herself on top of an electrical box I do not believe the guy that did this to her was her original owners I believe she could have originated from somebody who used to has a therapy dog. Honestly she's way too intelligent and she learn very quickly every single command and she knows American Sign Language. If somebody plans to adopt her, it's best to do things the same way because she is very repetitive. She like schedule and routine. If you are interested in meeting Eve, let us know and we will be happy to forward to you more information . (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-03-00298Frost (female)
Frost is a purebred Catahoula Hound. We purchased her at 8 weeks old and have had her on our 1.6 acre lot in San Tan Valley ever since. She's been around chickens, goats, horses, tons of other dogs and kids and people of all ages. She would make a great hound pup for a ranch or farm. She can NOT be an apartment dog or small yard dog because she is not the right breed or personality for that. She needs toys because she will chew on other things if left alone for hours outside. So, we recommend her having a dog friend is a MUST. She will not be happy alone, she loves other dogs. We are having to get rid of Frost with a heavy heart because she is aggressive towards our smaller livestock. She would make an excellent hunting dog for birds, pigs or small animals of some kind. It's in her blood! Both parents were hunting and working dogs. Price is firm, we paid much more for her. She is fully vaccinated but NOT spayed because we were going to breed her to my collie. Please only serious inquiries. My name is Brittany. text or call anytime 480 544 6442 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-28-00090Rosie (female)
Rosie came to Fedwell Farm 4 years ago. Her adopter decided to move into a community that doesn't accept dogs. I really try to screen adopters for this type of irresponsibility, but I guess I failed. Rosie is now 5 years old and super sweet. She is a little pudgy but she has been treated well. She has not been abused in any way. Rosie will be a great dog for walking, hiking or camping. Yet, she is quiet enough that she would be fine in an apartment or townhouse. Please come meet this wonderful girl and give her the real forever home she deserves. Rosie is located in South East Arizona. Her foster mom will attempt to meet potential adopters in Phoenix or Tucson if necessary. 602-316-8919 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-12-12-00136Jax (male)
Hi, I am a happy, rough and tumble little boy! My name is Jax. I started this rescue jouney in a not so good situation. You see my previous owner left me in a park tied to a pole, they walked away and didn't come back for me. Some people found me and took me to a shelter where I stayed for a little while until the folks at Dane Haven sent for me. I may not be 100% Great Dane, but I have a Great Dane attitude and a heart as big as one. I like to explore and find new things, I like to track my foster brother and sister all over the yard, you see I am deaf and partially blind. My foster mom and dad have been working with me using a vibration collar to get my attention, it tickles. I am great around horses, cows, dogs and even cats. I love to be around people of all sizes. My favorite thing to do is cuddle. ** Deaf and Missing an eye Available in Arizona (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-15-00049Bristol (female)
Bristol is a one year old, Catahoula/pit mix who was rescued by her foster mom as a stray. She is very well behaved and wants to please. She is incredibly smart and a fast learner. She has a ton of energy, loves all her toys, and enjoys running and playing games. She is getting better on the leash and has no issues with food aggression, sits before every meal. Her foster mom reports that she is a BIG fan of belly rubs and vanilla ice cream. We would recommend that Bristol go to a home without children. At this point, Bristol still needs some work: she will not get in a car, is still fearful of new people and needs more socialization. She also needs her last round of shots. While not currently available, if interested in helping this sweet girl by becoming her forever family, please fill out an application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-12-00279Toola (female)
Toola is a BEAUTIFUL 5 year Catahoula mix. Our girl was recently in a loving home for 3 years, but due to hardship her family had to give her up. Toola is housetrained, playful, well-mannered and sweet as can be. We don't know if she has been around cats but Toola would do well with a non-dominant dog. Our girl is up to date on vaccines/spayed/micro-chip and ready to find her furever home. Toola's adoption fee is $100.00. http://2ndchance.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=7892968

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-13-00025Merlin (male)
Merlin is a 4 year old Catahoula/Shar Pei Mix who loves being outside and having his bummy scratched! Merlin was turned in to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control as stray and was placed on the euthanasia list for being human aggressive. A sweet boy that was bummed to be in the pound, knew sit and shake and rubbed up against the chainlink fence for love, we would have never guessed. Merlin is completely potty trained and crate trained. We are still working with him on a leash and a few other manners. He adores being outside and would stay out all day if it were up to him. He doesn't think he's a lap dog, which is good at 92 pounds! But he does like attention. He seems fine with other dogs of any size but hasn't been tested with cats. Due to his rating, we would only be comfortable with Merlin going to an adult-only household. Merlin is a great boy and is ready for a family to call his own! Merlin is neutered, current on Rabies, 4-1 and Bordatella vaccines and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $100. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Catahoula in Arizona
Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
