My name is Oatmeal. I am a 2-3 y/o male Aussie/catahoula cross. I neutered and utd on all shots. I am also hw negative and on prevention. I have been microchipped. I ride very well in a car and walk nice on a leash. I am a very calm and well mannered boy! I have lived with other dogs, not sure about cats. I have not been around children, so a meet and greet with them would be needed first. I will be your shadow and follow you everywhere. Since I haven't been neutered that long we are working on occasional marking. Other than that I am crate trained and potty trained. PIease Read Before Adopting a Catahoula in Michigan
Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
