My name is Oatmeal. I am a 2-3 y/o male Aussie/catahoula cross. I neutered and utd on all shots. I am also hw negative and on prevention. I have been microchipped. I ride very well in a car and walk nice on a leash. I am a very calm and well mannered boy! I have lived with other dogs, not sure about cats. I have not been around children, so a meet and greet with them would be needed first. I will be your shadow and follow you everywhere. Since I haven't been neutered that long we are working on occasional marking. Other than that I am crate trained and potty trained. I am sad if I can't see you when we are together so that can cause me to bark a little. I have come all the way from Texas to Michigan to find my Furever home. I can be s little shy when I first meet new people, but once I know you I never want to be apart from you. I am located in Shiawassee County, Durand MI. If you are interested in making this pup part of your family, please fill out our adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/60815119286155 adoption fee is $275 and all fees are used for future rescue efforts. Hi!! This handsome, sweet boys name is Scoop.... and If you are looking for the perfect dog...You have just found him! Scoop is a big baby who thinks he is a lap dog. He is good with dogs, cats and people! He is just a big love bug! He is a little afraid of men at first, but just takes a little time to warm up to them. He lived with a single lady prior to coming to rescue so he is very much use to women. However, he currently has a foster mom AND dad and is doing great! Scoop loves his toys and carries his favorite one around. He doesn't chew and he is Housebroken! Scoop was born April 16th 2014. He just turned 2! His mom was a catahoula shepherd ( which is where he gets the blue eye and his dad was a terrier mix. . If you are interested in adopting Scoop... Please fill out an adoption application at: www.dawghous.com (Less)

Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
