|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-25-00007Onyx (female)|
Onyx is a loving four year old that is looking for a forever family. Her owner worked from home since Onyx was a pup. He now has to travel extensively with his job and doesn't feel it is fair to board her for weeks (months) at a time. Onyx does well with children and other dogs. Give Onyx a chance and she will win your heart.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-05-00009Boss (male)|
*Boston aka Boss: approximately 3 yr old lab/bully mix seeking his furever home** I rescued Boss a little over a month ago. When I took him in, he was barely 35lbs(picture can be provided upon request). After just a few meals he started to gain weight. After a month, he is up to full weight at a stocky 75+lbs. He is now utd on shots, nutered, and heartworm negative. He may have the onset of congestive heart failure due to being starved, but it should not be an issue as long as he is fed properly from now on. He did originally have some food aggression but has quickly gotten over it (all though it may need monitoring) He gets along good with other dogs (is living in a house with seven others from 5 lbs to 80lbs, male and female) He does need training but has already caught on to the basics of sit and down. He sits for his food. Gets a little nervous going in a crate but once in does well. He hasn't yet learned to pay much attention to toys, but gets super happy for a bone. Needs leash training but we are practicing. The only time he seems to bark is when his dish runs empty. Other than that, this beast has been been a gentle giant. He very much wants to learn and please someone. Boss is an amazing dog who has had humans put him through a lot, but is still willing to be man's best friend. If you are willing to give this boy the home he needs and deserves, please feel free to pm me or contact me at 660-216-5169 with any questions. (Less)

Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
