|Rescue Me ID: 17-04-18-00528Rue (female)|
Rue is a gorgeous Catahoula Leopard Hound. She is very affectionate and loves being around people in the house. She is the perfect couch companion when watching TV. She loves to snuggle! That being said, she is very energetic and requires a lot of exercise time. She gets bored when not exercised and can become destructive. I am looking to place her in a home with plenty of opportunities for outdoor play time -- fetching, running, and long walks. A large fenced in back yard or a farm with plenty of running space.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-28-00035Pepper (female)|
Looking for a dog to go on adventures? Pepper is the dog for you! Looking for a dog to lounge around the house? Pepper fits the bill! She is fun loving, but can also chill with the best of them. Pepper loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with toys and learn new things. She is also perfectly content with just relaxing around the house, cuddling and watching some TV. Her fosters say she can be a bit of a loner but she also does wonderful with other dogs. Because Pepper loves to explore she can escape most fences. We require a 6 ft privacy fence or leash walking for Pepper. Pepper is a 2 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is about 55 pounds. Interested? Please visit http://bit.ly/1m78fU5 to complete our quick online adoption application from your computer or desktop (not a phone). A representative will email you within 24-hours. Please do not come in until you are pre-approved so we may schedule an appointment with you. Pepper's adoption fee is $175 & includes: Spay, vaccines, microchip, deworming, a heartworm test, a wellness exam, a fecal test, & an offer of pet healthcare insurance for 30-days from adoption date. Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
