Meet Chip! This handsome little man is a 8 month old male Carolina Dog Lab mix. He is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything he meets. He is very very high energy so he needs someone with lots of energy to keep up with him. He would make a great running buddy or an agility partner. He is is potty trained, knows basic commands, and is crate trained. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He never turns down a good belly rub. He loves to play and is full of puppy energy. Sometimes he will still jump when excited so we are not willing to place him with small children for fear he will knock them ... (Read More)down by accident. He still needs to continue his training to ensure he becomes a great adult, however his previous owners have done a great job working with him so far. He would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle! He is currently available through our pre-adoption program. He can't wait to find his forever home! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Catahoula in New Jersey
Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
