|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-31-00203Smith (male)|
Smith is just a big pup. He and his brother Wesson were rescued from a rock quarry in the middle of no where. They were starved and in bad shape. They have now been fully vetted and gained weight. He would love a country home where he can run and play. Very very sweet

Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
