Mandy's my name and patience is my game. I am a Catahoula Mix around 2 years old and was found wondering the streets of Texas so being here in this small town of New Lisbon, WI with all this green grass and weird noises its quite frightening to me. I do feel very safe in my crate and currently prefer to spend most of my time there, if you walk by I will peek my head out in hopes of you having a treat or want to pet me. I am quite gentle with my foster family, my foster mom trims my nails, her children feed me out of their hand and give me baths without a fuss. I am potty trained but prefer you to tell me when I should go outside as this new ... (Read More)scenery is still scary to me. I am slowly learning to trust that humans are a good thing, but with time and your patience I am sure to be your best friend. Come visit me and see what a gentle giant I am. My adoption fee is $200 and I come spayed with age appropriate vaccines at time of adoption, health certificate and a microchipped so you can never lose me!     Heyyyy!!! My name is Maxie and I am a 4 year old, spayed hound mix that needs a home of my very own. The last guy I was with got me pregnant and left. I was a single mom roaming the streets doing what I could for my family. I have trust issues, who wouldn't?! I need someone who is going to love me FORVER. I have given up on men and decided I'm looking for a best friend so if you have another dog in your home then that's where I want to be! I am lady and prefer to handle my business outside and don't mind sleeping in a crate with a big fluffy blanket. You can find me in Columbus, WI. PIease Read Before Adopting a Catahoula in Wisconsin
Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
