*** FOSTERED IN CHEYENNE WYOMING. First good step is to go to our website www.jcldr.com and do our online application. No one is obligated but it is a good step for beginning. We want both Rhye and his new adopter to win. Once we receive your app we will contact you by phone. Meet and greet comes last. We hope he will tug on your heart. He is so tired of no one appreciating his qualities. Dogs are not rubber.. bouncing is hard and heart breaking. Hi my name is Rhye! I am a gentle three year old pup who is about 50 pounds. I know basic commands like sit, come, down, and shake. I am working on walking nice on leash. Sometimes I just get so excited when I see a rabbit that I forget my human is following close behind. I don't mind the tiny human in my foster home or the cat (as long it doesn't run outside like a rabbit). I am an energetic guy who loves to go on adventures like walks, runs, or playing outside with my foster sister. I love playing with other dogs! I need a slow introduction to new dog friends but once I get to know you I am happy! I am adjusting well to my new life outside of the shelter. I love snuggles and will come rest my head on your lap if I need more snuggles. I have also been known to gently place my paws on your tummy for loves. I've had a rough start as I was in and out of the shelter 7 times before coming to my foster home. The first time was because I was being 'destructive' but as a puppy I didn't know better. The other times I am not really sure why I ended up at the shelter. I was out on a nice adventure and then I got picked up by some nice people who took me to the shelter. I have not jumped the fence at my foster home or tried to escape but I have not told my secrets as to how I started my adventures in my previous home. I am happy to be in a wire crate at night and during the day when my family is not home. I will whimper in the morning so you know I am ready to get out but not too early. I will bark if there is something new or different but am pretty quiet compared to my foster sister. I am housetrained, love chewing on bones, and will dig if I smell a small animal. (Less)

Catahoula Dogs can make good pets in Wyoming if they match your IifestyIe. The Catahoula, or Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, is an intelligent, loyal, and territorial breed. Catahoulas are affectionate with their own families but intolerant of strangers. Catahoulas need a lot of time and attention from their owners and are best matched with people who have experience training intelligent dogs. A Catahoula that is left alone and ignored may become aggressive or destructive. Early socialization is imperative, especially with children. Catahoulas are very physical and need a lot of exercise. Some can adapt to apartment life while others cannot; the safest bet is a home with a large fenced yard or open land.
